[Teleporting is the superior way! Teleporting then, and sitting, summoning up refreshments. Coffee for them both.]
I can bring you here nightly to train, if you do promise to get some rest as well. And remember barriers are but one avenue. We should have you study conjury, as Emet-Selch wished, when Arcanima becomes more familiar to you, in case no suitable substitute for imbued inks can be found.
That's the problem exactly. There are other disciplines I need to study and become decent at. It isn't just for the sake of my world. And I dislike wasting more time than I have.
[ a sigh, and then he takes the cup of coffee, drinking it ]
But with the aid of drinking potions there's no reason to keep these lessons going at night only, when I'm supposed to be resting. We could designate a specific time for lessons.
Hmph. Every other day, at most then. And no longer than an hour or two in the waking world. Some extra sleep is fine but you will want to make sure you keep your body moving more in compensation.
[ Wow don't use Emet-Selch against him like that ]
... For the record, it isn't as if I just always do as I'm told, I can and I do against his advice whenever I feel like. I'm old enough to take my own decisions.
I never said otherwise. But if you can withstand his nagging then do as you like. I, for one, find it impossible to get anything done when he's feeling whiny.
I don't want to worry him needlessly, not when I can help it. And I do suppose overdoing it will mean I'd have to rest twice as much if I do end up damaging myself.
[ but he had to point out he doesn't do everything he's told because of his pride ]
Any preference regarding the time of each appointment, or should I draft the schedule myself?
Very well. It will be around 5pm every other day. One hour to start with, we'll increase to two later on, when we're certain the schedule does work best.
Very well. You are welcome for both. But I do expect you to work as hard or harder than you have been. And without impatience.
I have set you on an unorthodox learning path, but mastering the fundamentals will serve you better than skipping too many steps, in the long run. I will write you a brief syllabus for training that may seem boring to your mind, but I recommend you stick to it.
But while we're resting — I should inform you I've revised our contract to include Vergil on the list of exceptions. I haven't put any contract on him, since it would be pointless. And I suppose I trust him.
That I can't imagine him caring about Auracite over you even should he come back.
I do not know about that with Auracite, that young man was charismatic for his few years and little experience, at least when I knew of him on the source, but I suppose that we will find out should he return.
I suppose Vergil is on your unit, and perhaps more aligned with your personality than most. Is that why you trust him so readily?
Re: Day 251 night
That doesn't make it any less annoying, but I understand.

You will have much and more to keep you occupied.

That shouldn't interfere with proper rest.

Re: Day 251 night
That was before you started keeping a journal. Just because I didn't comment on it the other day doesn't mean I didn't notice it.
Two hours every other day doesn't seem enough, but it'll have to do. I'll make it count.
Re: Day 251 night
I do keep that for our dear Emecchi's benefit. Though I suppose it keeps me organized as well.
It shall have to count. Too much needless sleep will stress your body in other ways. Your mind most of all.

Re: Day 251 night
Late afternoons ideally. Should things come up on the days in question we can reschedule.

Thank you.
Re: Day 251 night
What for?
Re: Day 251 night
And for showing your face, I suppose.

Re: Day 251 night
I'll try to keep it to a minimum. It's been a while since a subject frustrated me this much. It's an interesting challenge if nothing else.

[Like you have room to talk Lahabrea]
Re: Day 251 night
It's because he likes you.
And he must be somewhat aware of your intentions by now.
