Lily Pads: Where do the rings come in?

Valour 5: Well first there's the engagement ring when you propose, then there's the actual wedding bands. The rings Emet-Selch and I west were technically given at the proposal, but they are wedding bands. They're exchanged during the ceremony, along with vows.

Lily Pads: and of that, just one engagement ring?

Lily Pads: i mean i get that if someone is proposing the proposee doesn't know it's happening
Lily Pads: but if they accept why doesn't the other person get an engagement ring too later?

Valour 5: Experience.
Valour 5: To start with. Has he actually thought of what will happen after this place?
Valour 5: Last I heard he was going to come to my world along with Luther. Which is another significant life-changing decision. So what about you? Are you coming to my world as well? Or are you now all going to go somewhere else? Has he asked you? has he asked Luther?

Lily Pads: He could have, for all I know.

Valour 5: And the fact you don't know proves my point
Valour 5: He has no idea what he's asking
Valour 5: Being upfront with you from the start and thinking of the potential issues, acting to solve them, and inform you of it all, should have been the first few steps he took.
Valour 5: Besides. He needs to be explained things on regular basis, I don't think it's a wild claim for me to say he doesn't have the emotional maturity to know what he's asking and follow through.
Valour 5: In either case the decision is yours.
