[ he heads to the door to let him in, not saying anything as he motions for five to join him in his room. he heads straight! for!! the bar!!! ] …did you play in that game recently or go to that ridiculous house?
[ he takes a seat at the bar and cracks open a beer. ] Do you want something, ..? And game was pretty underwhelming in terms of set up. One door is labeled and one door is not and you have to choose the door you assume to have the better choice.
The house was a ridiculous house full of nonsense with a dog and some guy at the end.
[ he just stares at him, not sure what he wants to do or say. Or if there's even something he should say. He feels like this is something he should work through with Zhongli, but if he asked him to come instead, there's probably a reason. So he doesn't voice that, and instead finally moves so he can sit next to him ]
I'm not too fussed about the torture. I knew what to expect. It was labeled in plain English. [ or whatever language we all universally understand. ] And I chose that door to spite her for using us in a bet. [ so that's whatever, honestly. ] But the house... it didn't make much sense... just a series of ridiculous rooms with nonsensical puzzles and some "laser master". In the end I was impaled on a twenty something foot sword by the supposed owner of the house, ...
...not too surprising given all of that. [ another laugh. ] But at least I managed to avoid getting corrupted. [ looks at five's hand and swiftly grabs another drink before letting him drag him off to the couch. ]
...I'd like to finish it now. [ and then he'll just crack it open and pound it back. probably a bad idea since he's still suffering from having bled out, so he's bound to get drunk quickly! but he doesn't care. he drops the bottle and withers into five. ] I'm frustrated.
[ He's ready to call emet to take care of the alcohol in his blood if he needs, for now, he decides it's best not to point out this is a terrible idea. Instead he'll bring his hand to his head and stroke his hair gently ]
I know. And I understand. I'm pretty sure this is what these games are designed to do - frustrate us. There's close to nothing you can do.
I don't think the second thing had been a game... but it's all the same in this place, really. [ shuts his eyes and huffs another aggravated sigh. ] But I'm not weak! I'm not. [ and yet... he's died how many times? ]
…something to look forward to. [ reaches to take five’s hand, bringing it to his lips for a kiss. ] Im worried about Zhongli Xiansheng too. Having to deal with that.
I don’t like knowing that I’m making things harder for him, especially when he’s got plenty else to deal with. But… but also I want his attention, all of it, … [ and that miiiight be the extreme jealousy talking. ]
You might have to accept sometimes he'll have others to take care of. But when you also need to be taken care of that doesn't mean you should push yourself aside so you won't trouble him. I'm pretty sure he'd rather be by your side if you told him you need him.

Re: Day 397,late.
I haven't played in any game recently and I haven't visited any house, no.
What happened?
Re: Day 397,late.
The house was a ridiculous house full of nonsense with a dog and some guy at the end.
[ not too much detail… yet. ]

Do you want to talk about it?
Re: Day 397,late.
Coward.
Re: Day 397,late.
[ which he guesses is understandable since he was just, you know. tortured and killed.
There's another pause and then he gets off his seat again, and instead tries to reach for Childe's hand so he can tug him toward the couch ]

Re: Day 397,late.
Lay down with your head on my lap. You can finish your drink later.
... And you don't have to put on a mask with me, but if you don't want me poking, I won't.

Of course you're not weak. otherwise why would they do that?
Re: Day 397,late.

[ he'll lightly brush his cheek with his knuckles at that, and then— ]
It's easy to feel helpless when everything keeps going south. But it's not your fault.
Re: Day 397,late.
Re: Day 397,late.
Is that why you texted me and not him? You don't want him to worry about you?
Re: Day 397,late.
Re: Day 397,late.
[ he'll squeeze his hand a little ]
You're only making things harder for yourself.
Re: Day 397,late.
But at least… at least I have you, sensei. [ reaches for his cheeks, cupping then with a wide, toothy grin. ]
Re: Day 397,late.

I'm here with you for as long as you need me but I'm not a substitute. Who do you want to be with now, Tartaglia?
Re: Day 397,late.
Re: Day 397,late.
Well then you're going to have to text him too.
